Sam Pettitt has been appointed as the new Head of Coaching at Crewe Alexandra.

The 35-year-old, who has spent nearly a decade in the academy, has served as Under-18s Assistant Manager since 2023.

9th April 2026

Crewe Alexandra has begun restructuring its academy to ensure its long-term success.

After operating as an EPPP Category 2 academy since 2011, the club has decided to move to Category 3 from the start of the 2026/27 season in response to growing financial and operational pressures
