U17 Professional Development League Cup

The U17 Professional Development League Cup is an English youth football tournament created for players aged 17 and under.

U17 PDL Cup Group Stage

Leyton Orient U17 will play against Under-17 teams from Bristol Rovers, Bristol City and Luton Town.

U21 Premier League Cup

The Premier League Cup was introduced in the 2013/14 season to enhance competition during the Professional Development Phase.

It added a knockout tournament alongside the regular league schedule. For the 2025/26 season, the format features nine groups.

The top team from each group automatically qualifies for the knockout stage, along with the seven best second-placed teams.

2nd June 2025

Phil Chinedu, Dan Carter, and Anduan Hajdin have signed their first professional contracts at Leyton Orient.

The club has also activated the third-year scholarships for Hayden Bullas and Abdi Mohamud.

16th July 2025

Charlie Pegrum has completed a permanent move from Leyton Orient to Hornchurch.

He spent last season on loan with the Urchins, making 18 appearances, scoring twice, and providing five assists.

8th August 2025

21-year-old forward Daniel Nkrumah has left Leyton Orient and signed a permanent deal with Wealdstone in the Enterprise National League.

Thomas Avgoustidis has signed with Royston FC following his departure from Leyton Orient at the conclusion of his contract.

Orient’s newly established U21 team will play their first competitive match this Tuesday, taking on Watford U21 at the Breyer Group Stadium.

Kick-off is scheduled for 7pm, marking the opening fixture of Premier League Cup Group D.

Academy players Zac Hambury and Zak O’Keefe have been recalled from their loan spells at Welling United and Heybridge Swifts respectively.

Meanwhile, third-year scholar Abdi Mohamud has extended his loan with Isthmian League North Division side Waltham Abbey until November 3.
