Leeds United Academy Competitions For 2024/25
U17 and U18 Premier League Cup
In 2017, the Premier League introduced the U18 Premier League Cup and the U16 Premier League Cup, renaming the latter to the U17 Premier League Cup in 2020 for their respective age groups.
The seven group winners, along with the best runner-up determined by total points, goal difference, and then head-to-head record, will progress to the quarterfinals.
U17 Premier League Cup Group Stage
Leeds United U17 are drawn in Group E against under-17 teams from Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Newcastle.

U21 Premier League Cup
The Premier League Cup was introduced in the 2013/14 season to enhance competition during the Professional Development Phase.
It added a knockout tournament alongside the regular league schedule. For the 2024/25 season, the format features nine groups.
The top team from each group automatically qualifies for the knockout stage, along with the seven best second-placed teams.
Leeds United are drawn in Group H against under 21 teams from Charlton Athletic, Stockport County and Birmingham City.

National League Cup
The National League Cup is a 32-team midweek competition, comprising of 16 Under-21s teams participating in Premier League 2 and 16 National League club first teams.
Leeds U21s have been placed in Group C of the new National League Cup competition.
They will face Boston United, Gateshead, FC Halifax Town and Tamworth with all matches being played away from home.

Performance Habits, a ground-breaking mental wellbeing program, was recently introduced to Leeds United Academy players to encourage positive routines, strengthen mental resilience, and effectively manage setbacks.

Leeds advanced to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup after a 3-2 victory over Portsmouth away (2-2 at the end of normal time) in the third round. They will now face AFC Fylde.

Leeds U21s have taken on Tottenham Hotspur defender Roman Egan Riley on trial.
17th January 2025
Leeds U18s have advanced to the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup with a 3-2 victory away against AFC Fylde.
Ollie Pickles netted two goals, while Louie Dudley added another.

Leeds United’s FA Youth Cup clash with Manchester City is scheduled for Tuesday, 4th February, at the LNER Stadium.
U21s Defender Oscar Dawber has joined American side Butler Men’s Soccer

Leyton Orient have signed midfielder Sonny Perkins from Leeds United for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old had been on loan at the club since the start of the season, making 29 appearances in all competitions and scoring four goals.

Jeremiah Chilokoa-Mullen has joined Dunfermline Athletic from Leeds United, signing an initial deal at East End Park until the end of the season.

Leeds U18s have been eliminated from the FA Youth Cup after a 6-1 home defeat to Manchester City U18s in the fifth round, with Oliver Boast scoring the hosts’ only goal.

18-year-old goalkeeper Robbie Cook has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Leeds United after joining from Perth Glory. He will initially link up with the club’s Under-18s squad.

Leeds United Under-21s have been drawn to face Altrincham away in the National League Cup semi-final.
The match will be held at the J. Davidson Stadium on Tuesday, April 1st, with kick-off set for 7:30pm.

Leeds United U21 have secured their place in the National League Cup finals after a 2-1 victory away at Altrincham, with goals from Diogo Monteiro and Josh McDonald.

Harry Gray made his first-team debut for Leeds on Monday, with his great uncle and club legend Eddie watching from the stands.
The 16-year-old was brought on in the 86th minute to replace Brenden Aaronson, with the Whites leading 6-0 against Stoke at Elland Road.
Harry Gray becomes the fourth teenager to make his senior debut for Leeds United this season after James Debayo, Charlie Crew and Sam Chambers.

Leeds United U21 became the first team to have their name engraved on the National League Cup trophy after defeating Sutton United 2–1 in the final.
Diogo Monteiro and Harry Gray scored the goals that sealed the historic win.

Rhys Chadwick has been voted Leeds United Under-21s’ Players’ Player of the Season for 2024/25.
He finished the campaign as the team’s top scorer, netting 12 goals and providing 11 assists in 31 appearances.
Ollie Pickles has been named Under-18s Players Player of the Season.

19-year-old Welsh midfielder Charlie Crew celebrated being part of Doncaster Rovers’ Sky Bet League Two title-winning squad.
