Manchester United Academy News
24th September 2025
Stephen Torpey has officially begun his role as Manchester United’s new Academy Director.
He joined the club from Brentford, following the announcement in August that he would succeed Nick Cox in the position.
6th October 2025
Manchester United’s head of academy recruitment, Luke Fedorenko, is set to depart the club.
The 35-year-old has been instrumental in securing key youth talents and has played a major part in shaping the club’s youth development alongside Nick Cox.
7th March 2026
Darren Hughes has been appointed Head of Academy Football Development at Manchester United.
He joins after 12 years with Manchester City, where he held a number of roles within the club’s academy.
