The Saddlers have faced strong Under-18 sides throughout the 2024/25 season, often without their second years due to loans, resulting in a team largely made up of first years, Under-16s, and Under-15s.

Former Saddler Paul Downing has returned to the club, coaching in the Youth Development Phase (U15s & U16s) and supporting the U18s alongside Ryan Simmonds.
9th November 2025
Academy Manager Williams is set to depart Walsall after nearly four years with the club. He first joined the Category Three side in March 2022.
11th November 2025
Martyn Bowles has been appointed as Walsall’s new Academy Manager. Bowles joined the club’s academy setup in June 2024, serving as Head of Coaching prior to his new role.
