The U17 Professional Development League Cup is an English youth football tournament created for players aged 17 and under.

U18 Professional Development League
The Under-18 Professional Development League is a leading English youth competition for Category Two academies, comprising 20 teams split into North and South regional divisions.
It delivers a high-level development pathway for promising players, combining league competition with a national play-off system.

Established for the 2021/22 season, the Professional Development League Cup features 32 teams divided into eight groups of four.
The group winners advance to the knockout stages.

The league is split into regional North and South divisions, with play-offs determining the national champion, and it offers a highly competitive platform for developing top young talent.

U21 Premier League Cup
The Premier League Cup was introduced in the 2013/14 season to enhance competition during the Professional Development Phase.
It added a knockout tournament alongside the regular league schedule. For the 2025/26 season, the format features nine groups.
The top team from each group automatically qualifies for the knockout stage, along with the seven best second-placed teams.

18-year-old attacking midfielder Romelle Donovan has signed a five-year permanent deal with Brentford, following a successful loan spell last season.
The former Blues apprentice joined Brentford’s B team on loan in February, netting 11 goals in 15 appearances.

17-year-old Theo Mawene has completed a permanent move to Brentford B from Preston North End.

Defender Benjamin Arthur and goalkeeper Julian Eyestone will join Keith Andrews’ first-team squad for the 2025/26 season, having both signed new contracts until summer 2031, with the club holding an option to extend.

Brentford B were beaten 3-0 by Hanwell Town in the 2024/25 London Senior Cup final at the Oliver Connell & Son Community Stadium. The match, postponed from last season, ended with Hanwell Town lifting the trophy.

Brentford B have signed free-agent 18-year-old defender Luca Picotto on a one-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months. The former Fulham player now joins the Bees’ ranks.
Maxwell McKnight has signed a one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months with Brentford.
The 20-year-old defender, formerly with Tottenham from U12 to U21 level, impressed on trial and has been a regular for Brentford U21s through pre-season and into the 2025/26 campaign.
