U17 Professional Development League Cup
The U17 Professional Development League Cup is an English youth football tournament created for players aged 17 and under.

U18 Professional Development League Cup
Established for the 2021/22 season, the Professional Development League Cup features 32 teams divided into eight groups of four.
The group winners advance to the knockout stages.

Swansea U18 are drawn in Group G against under-18 teams from Cheltenham, Bristol City and Plymouth Argyle.

U21 Premier League Cup
The Premier League Cup was introduced in the 2013/14 season to enhance competition during the Professional Development Phase.
It added a knockout tournament alongside the regular league schedule. For the 2024/25 season, the format features nine groups.
The top team from each group automatically qualifies for the knockout stage, along with the seven best second-placed teams.
Swansea City U21 are drawn in Group C against under 21 teams from Southampton, West Bromwich Albion and Fleetwood Town.

Swansea City Academy News
Swansea City has launched its new Pre-Academy Regional Centre Programme, which is set to provide talented young footballers across south Wales with the opportunity to develop their skills in a professional environment.
This exciting initiative, for boys aged six to eight, will see the opening of four regional centres, strategically located in Swansea, Carmarthen, Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT), and Cardiff.

In the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup, Swansea City have been drawn at home to Southampton.

The FA Youth Cup journey came to an end for Swansea City after a third-round loss 0 – 2 at home to Southampton.

Midfielder Jacob Cook has signed his first professional contract with his hometown club.
7th January 2025
Attacking midfielder Thomas Woodward has signed his first professional contract with Swansea City.
24th January 2025
Midfielder Liam Smith has been recalled from his loan spell at Scottish Championship side Partick Thistle.
He has also mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Swansea City.

Swansea City U17s have reached the Professional Development League Cup final with a 4-2 victory over Cheltenham Town, featuring goals from Kaven Bloniarczyk and a hat-trick from Callum Jones.

This week, the EFL celebrates Youth Development across all 72 League clubs. Swansea City has a strong track record of developing academy players.
This season, players developed through the Swansea City Academy have logged 7,687 minutes of play in their League matches. Last season, they made 147 First Team appearances in the Championship.

At Swansea City’s End of Season Awards, Carter Heywood, Harlan Perry, and Arthur Parker were named Players of the Year for the Under-16s, Under-18s, and Under-21s, respectively.
