Gillingham FC Academy runs a category 3 academy based in Kent. They focus on elite youth development to nurture young talent.
The younger age groups train at the University of Kent, Canterbury CT2 7SR
Some matches are also held at Sheppey United FC, The Total Power Stadium | Holm Park, Queenborough Road, Sheerness, Kent, ME12 3DB
The Academy has three phases: the Foundation phase (U7-U11), which includes six Development and Advanced Centres across Sittingbourne, Folkestone, Medway, Canterbury, Dartford, and Maidstone; the Youth Development phase (U12-U16); and the Professional Development phase (U17-U21).

Joe Dunne has stepped down from his role as Youth Team Coach at Gillingham FC after 15 months in the position.
A former Gills player, Dunne made 135 appearances for the club between 1990 and 1996, scoring once.
3rd March 2026
Scott Wagstaff has been appointed as the new Youth Team Manager at Gillingham FC.
He replaces Joe Dunne, who left the club last month and has since joined Colchester United in a similar role.
