U17 Professional Development League Cup

The U17 Professional Development League Cup is an English youth football tournament created for players aged 17 and under.

U18 Youth Alliance Cup

The EFL Youth Alliance Cup is a youth football tournament in England, organized by the English Football League (EFL). It features under-18 teams from League One and League Two clubs that compete in the EFL Youth Alliance, the league system for these academies.

The competition follows a format like the EFL Trophy, beginning with a regional group stage before progressing to a national knockout phase.

Designed to foster young talent at lower-tier EFL clubs, the tournament provides a structured competitive environment beyond regular league matches.

In the group stage, Leyton Orient U18 are drawn in Group H against under-18 teams from Sutton United, Gillingham, Bromley and AFC Wimbledon.

19th October 2024

In the 1st round of the FA Youth Cup, Leyton Orient have been drawn at home to Aldershot Town.

30th October 2024

After beating Aldershot Town at home in the first round 1 – 0, Leyton Orient has secured a place in the second round of the FA Youth Cup.

1st November 2024

Leyton Orient U18s have been drawn at home against Whitehawk in the 2nd round of the FA Youth Cup.

15th November 2024

In the 3rd round of the FA Youth Cup, Leyton Orient have been drawn at home to either AFC Fylde or Northampton Town if they win their match against Whitehawk.

19th November 2024

Leyton Orient secured a dominant 6-0 victory over Whitehawk to advance to the third round of the FA Youth Cup.

2nd December 2024

Leyton Orient will host AFC Fylde in the FA Youth Cup third round on Monday, December 9th, at the Gaughan Group Stadium.

Mark Timmington’s team will aim to make history by advancing to the fourth round for the first time in their history.

9th December 2024

The FA Youth Cup journey came to an end for Leyton Orient after a third-round loss 1 – 2 at home to AFC Fylde. Devine Samuel scored the goal for the O’s.

18th March 2025

This week, the EFL celebrates Youth Development across all 72 League clubs. Leyton Orient has a strong track record of developing academy players.

In this season, nine of their second-year apprentices earned a distinction in their academic studies.

Hayden Bullas is the 2024/25 academy Player of the Year for Leyton Orient.
